The Treatment: Dermaplaning is a safe, effective, intensive and non - invasive form of exfoliation that rids the epidermis of keratinized stratum corneum build up and vellus hair. This procedure encourage new cell turnover and skin regeneration. Performed safely with a STERILE surgical blade placed against the skin at a 45° angle, dermaplaning, also known as Epi-leveling, offers immediate results with a noticeable change in the appearance and texture of the skin. While one hand holds the targeted section of skin taut, the other hand holding the blade is feather-stroked along the skin. The client's head is constantly manipulated and re- positioned for the practitioner the best angles of visibility for the procedure. The noticeable change in the skin's texture is created by the removal of: Dirt, Oil, Dead skin Cells, Vellus Hair, Excess Makeup Benefits: The reduction of the superficial layer of the epidermis allows for more effective product penetration to the deeper layers of the skin allowing for better efficacy. Upon completion of this procedure, a brighter, flowing complexion will be revealed, as well as noticeably softer skin. Contraindications: Allergy to nickel, Raised and inflamed lesions, Sunburn, Recent Resurfaced Skin, Active Infections, Chemotherapy or Radiation, Medication, Terminal hairs cannot be removed by dermaplaning.
